We need to add all of our profiles in Klaviyo to a single list, so that we can delete the profiles (you can’t delete profiles without a list). We can’t seem to find any way to add our *profiles* to a list. The only options are uploading a CSV, but that doesn’t help us delete the profiles so…
Thank you for any help - neither the support email nor chatbot are working

Hi @dbellisario
Welcome to the Klaviyo community!
If you want to create a static list of all of your current active Klaviyo customers, you can achieve this in the following way:
Click Audience → Lists & Segments
Click Create List/Segment (top right corner)
Give your segment a name and set the condition as Is not suppressed for emails”
Click Manage Segment → Convert to list
Done! If this is your main mailing list, make sure you set your signup forms to add people into this list and sync your Shopify (or other platform) into the same list as well so customers all end up in one place.
Hey @dbellisario,
Adding onto @DavidV’s great suggestion, another segment you can use is “Properties about someone, email contains @”.
@DavidV’s suggestion is great in capturing all profiles that are active I.E. profiles that have not unsubscribed or marked your emails as spam. My suggestion would capture all profiles in your Klaviyo account, both active and suppressed.
David
Hi! @David To it’s 2024 now, and I need to pull all my active profiles as well, but I don’t see the option to filter them as shown here :(
How can I achieve this?
Hi @LorenaJaqueline,
Welcome to the Klaviyo community!
Ah yes - Klaviyo moves very fast with new innovation and this has changed a little bit this year.
The new measure here is “If someone can or cannot receive marketing” → Person can receive email marketing” like this:
Hope that helps!
Thanks David
Oh! Thanks @DavidV
I tried that, but my totals don’t match, do you know the reason? This difference is why I doubted whether I was doing it right.
Hi @LorenaJaqueline,
Hmm that’s a good one. There could be a few pieces at play here.
Are you using Klaviyo SMS (or mobile push)? It could be that the difference is made up of SMS subscribers that are not opted into email.
The other thing - Can you create the segment and see what your number ends up being - the indicator at the top is super useful but the accurate number only comes through once you create the segment and let it run.
Hope that helps!
Thanks David
Hmmm, I just entered with this client and they’re using Klaviyo, so not sure about de mobile push, I belive they’re using it since I saw a profile with the info “subscribed to web push” attached. @DavidV
But… if that was the case (that the difference comes from web push subscribers) the total shown on the Profiles tab should not be the bigger one? Instead of the segment I’m trying to create?
Sure! These are the updated totals:
Hmm @LorenaJaqueline that’s still way off. The SMS case would be the most clear as you could have a mobile number but not an email address and the active profiles are only counted on emails.
I’m not too sure on this one - might be worth reaching out to Klaviyo Support and see what they say!
