I've read this article.… https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005246968
But I still have a few questions about when a contact is counted towards billing.

When a profile has been active on our website at checkout or purchase, they are transferred to Klaviyo and get the status 'never subscribed'.

Will these count in the payment?

 

Because if they do, it will quickly mean that a lot of contacts are sent to Klaviyo that we pay for, but that we are not allowed to send e-mail to.

On our current email list we have approx. 10k and we have approx. 5k unsubscribed profiles. If we also have to pay for those who have never subscribed, it will quickly become a 10x in the payment.

In kalviyo, all active profiles in your account will be counted towards billing, regardless of whether they have been subscribed or not. If you click on the logo and navigate to the billing section, under 'Profiles and Emails,' you will see that the profile count matches the number of active profiles.
