1. This guide [How to update a profile property when someone clicks a link] will walk you through how to create a custom profile property (e.g. “Waitlist_ProductXYZ” with a value of “TRUE”) when someone clicks a link in an email
2. Yep, this is a great approach as well. The typical approach I see here is to create a new, blank page in Shopify, create a Klaviyo embed form to enter people into the waitlist (perhaps collecting email and/or SMS consent as well), and then embed the Klaviyo form into the Shopify page.
