I want to do an investigation into my total active and suppressed profiles. The above image is my current number. I was told by my client that the numbers on the 31st of January was

All profiles: 852,000

Active: 652,000

Supressed: 199,000

I want to investigate why there has been little to no growth in the number of active subscribers over the past 6 months.

My problems: I can see the data for right now, but I don't know how to check the previous numbers. - how do I check this?

What action steps would you take to discover the root cause of this problem? When I know more, I can ask here again to find help with some action steps to solve the problem.

I’d appreciate any insights you can provide to help my thinking around this problem

Thanks so much,

Gary

Hey @GV123

here is what I suggest

Use Klaviyo's Analytics and Reporting

  • Navigate to "Analytics" and then "Reports."
  • Create or view historical reports on list growth, unsubscribes, and engagement.
  • If Klaviyo does not provide a clear historical view through its dashboard, you may need to export historical reports.
  • Go to "Lists & Segments" and select the relevant list.
  • Use the "Export List" feature to export data periodically (e.g., monthly).

compare all these numbers in a spreadsheet etc to get better idea

Analyze Historical Data

  • Campaign Performance Review: Review the performance of individual email campaigns. Identify campaigns with high unsubscribe rates or low engagement.
  • List Health Check: Conduct a list health check to identify inactive or low-engagement subscribers. Consider a re-engagement campaign to win back inactive subscribers.
  • Content Analysis: Evaluate the content of your emails. Is it relevant and valuable to your audience? Survey your audience to understand their preferences and interests.
  • Acquisition Strategy Review: Review your subscriber acquisition strategies. Are you reaching the right audience? Ensure that you have strong calls-to-action and incentives for new subscribers.
  • Suppression Reasons Analysis: Deep dive into the suppression reasons to understand if there's a pattern. Address any issues such as frequent hard bounces or high spam complaint rates.

I hope this helps

cheers
