Hi there,

Is there a way to change the Manage Preferences default link or do I just create a text with link and just make it universal?

Thanks!

Hello @edilpickle,

Welcome to the Klaviyo Community!

If you were using the standard {% manage_preferences %} variable, there wouldn’t be a way to update it's default link. The hyperlink that is generated from this variable is actually dynamic and unique to each individual. Hence, those preferences are dynamically associated with each recipient.

You can certainly create your own stand-alone manage preference page for use in your email. But keep in mind that unless you’ve coded that page to also pass those properties back to Klaviyo and the associated recipient profile those preferences wouldn’t be stored.

Another lesser known feature is our hosted page feature. This allows you to use custom HTML/CSS to code out certain subscribe pages. This includes the manage preference page. This means that you can build your own hosted page which can then be used as the your manage preference page so that using the {% manage_preferences %} would redirect users to your custom page.

I hope this helps!

David
