Is there a way to target online vs. in-store purchasers?

I want to target customers who have only bought online and not visited our store.  The shopify properties don’t seem to represent the difference between online and POS purchases.  Anyone done anything like this before?

Hi @KatharineD

Welcome to the Community! Glad to have you here!

Yes, there are no native features that will automatically tag users who are uploaded into your store on whether or not they were an in-store or online purchase. However, you are more than able to create this property yourself! Do you mind sharing how you are uploading your in-store purchases into  Klaviyo account? Is it manually through a .CSV upload? If so, you can import a custom property to these specific customers, such as ‘in-store customer’. From there you can then create a segment, or a grouping, of customers who have this specific ‘in-store customer’ property as you can use ‘properties about someone’ as a segment condition.

You can then exclude this specific segment of in-store purchases from your next campaign send that you want to only target online users.

Hope that helps! Thanks for visiting our Community!
