New subscribers locations are always wrong

Hi everyone, I’m just testing out Klaviyo to see if it is going to fit our needs so don’t have a full paid account yet, but everytime I add a subscriber from an embedded form in our website, it shows the location as France and I am in Australia, this in turn leads to spam and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong ?

Welcome to the community.

It seems like you're asking a couple of questions

  1. When signing up - location is shown as France while you're in Australia
    • Can you elaborate - are you using a VPN?
    • Using Shopify? If not where is the shop hosted?
    • Location is based on IP lookup most of the times - I would not expect this to be 100% accurate.
  2. Leads are turend to spam
    • Do you mean when someone signs up and you want to send them an email  the emails land in spam? Have you tested with your own email address?
    • Location is not a reason why a profile will be blocked or get email in spam - that's more a deliverabilikty issue - have you configured your sending domains correctly?
