How to add gender in dimension?

Hello @sharry,

Thanks for sharing this with the Klaviyo Community.

Klaviyo does provide predictive attributes about gender. If that’s what you are referring to, you will need to segment off of Predictive analytics about someone > Predicted Gender is > X. This is Klaviyo making an educated guess on an individual’s gender based on a customer’s first name along with census data to predict whether the name is likely male, female, or uncertain. For more details on this topic, I recommend checking out our blog post.

Predicted Gender is “Likely Female” Example

If you are collecting gender in a Klaviyo sign-up form or another 3rd party form, then the data will be stored as a “standard” custom property. In this case, you will want to segment off of Properties About Someone to locate that custom property. Also keep in mind that any data you can segment with can also be used in flow filters and conditional splits in flows.

I hope that is helpful!
