Hello!

I’m new to Klaviyo and trying to figure out how to set it up so when someone subscribes to my newsletter and makes a purchase which makes them a new subscriber (2 seperate list) get the same welcome series of emails.  Just wanting to make sure when someone does both, they do not get double welcome series emails.  Guessing there is segments to add to make this happen but not sure.

Thanks, Kit

Kit

You will find pre built templates with the Creat a Flow dashboard.

There are also lots of resources to help you understand how flows etc work before diving in and sending messages to your customers.

In your case you may best with one list if possible. When someone signs up for your newsletter then they enter the New Subscriber flow. You can use a filter to take them out of this flow if they make a purchase and instead they can then enter the post purchase flow.

You will find a lot of what you need in this short course;

To add to this, the flow filter you’d want to add to your welcome flow (which would send emails or SMS to new subscribers) is: What somebody has done > placed order zero times > since starting this flow.
