CLARIFICATION FROM THE SESSION:
Back in Stock Flow (Shopify + BigCommerce) vs. Out of Stock Signup From (all other providers)

Back in stock flow for Shopify + BigCommerce

The back in stock is a flow that is triggered when someone subscribes to the Back in Stock notification on your website, and the message is sent to subscribers when that particular product is back in stock.

  • To apply the back in stock flow to ALL products site-wide, add the back in stock code snippet to your product.liquid file (this will apply it to all product pages)

This does NOT create a list for every product that goes out of stock.

Out of stock signup form (can be used on any ecomm platform)

This is a signup form you can place on product pages that will allow people to subscribe to a product-specific list. This is great for folks on a non-Shopify or non-BigCommerce platform, or if you want to only enable back in stock reminders for certain products in your shop.

This signup form WILL route to a specific list for that particular product. You can then send those subscribers an update via a campaign when that particular item is back in stock. This is not automated and must be done manually.
