Hey guys,

Hoping someone can help me here. A client of mine has a decent email database, but when they set up the sign-up form on their website, something hasn’t connected with the consent.

As a result they don’t have consent to email most of their database.

Is there a way to send a one-off flow with the option to “officially” subscribe?

I was trying to work out if there’s a way to embed a sign-up form, and maybe offer a discount?

Appreciate any help or insights!

Hi @samalmond

Overall, if you are unsure if someone previously provided consent you should not be contacting them. With customer privacy laws becoming more strict you can face fines if these are not followed.

Depending on where you and your customers are located these laws may be different. We recommend checking with your legal counsel if you are unsure what laws apply to you. Customer email addresses will end up in an account if they simply place an order. This does not mean that they want to receive regular mailings from your brand. Keep this in mind with how you decide to move forward.

If you end up having any emails marked as spam this significantly impacts your deliverability score moving forward.
