Currently the popups I created can be closed either by clicking the little “x” at the top or by clicking/tapping anywhere outside of the popup window.

That way I feel like a lot of mobile users accidently close the popup simply by scrolling and tapping through my page at the moment the popup appears.

Is there a way to disable this “click off to close it” option and only allowing visitors to close the popup by clicking the little “x”?

Thanks!

Hello @Jakob Galle,

Thanks for sharing this.

We do not currently have the ability to change the way the form closes, however, if you are concerned about the visitor closing it accidentally, I recommend trying a Flyout form. You can adjust this directly in the Styles section of the form editor.

This type of form will "fly out" from the side of your website -- it is less prominent than a popup form, but more attention-grabbing than an embedded sign up form. Additionally, it will not close out if you click or tap away from it like a Popup form does.

Thank you for the quick response and great advice!

Quick update - you can do it in Pop ups too.

Under display on dekstop/mobile there is an option:

Click outside form to close.

I’m adding it here for the people who google. ;)

Because I googled that and I was sure I had it somewhere, so I checked my old popups and found it.

Hi @KatePobi

Thanks for sharing this and helping our your fellow peers who are searching through answers on Google 😉 !

Hello. You can also add a teaser. So if they close it by mistake they can easily view the form again.
