Hey Micheal!
This is a great question and one I 100% had to look into ourselves not to long ago for heat maps
To hide a Klaviyo pop-up form while using Microsoft Clarity to analyze your Shopify store's heatmap, you can modify the targeting settings of the form to ensure it doesn’t appear during your analysis sessions.
Here’s how you can do this:
-
Adjust Targeting by URL: You can set the pop-up to display only on specific URLs. For instance, you could exclude the page you're analyzing by specifying the URLs where the pop-up should or shouldn't show. This way, it won't interfere with the heatmap in Clarity.
-
Use a Custom URL Parameter: You could create a special URL parameter (e.g., ?clarity=no-popup
) and configure your pop-up form in Klaviyo to exclude this URL parameter. When you want to analyze your site, simply append this parameter to the URL in Clarity.
-
Temporary Disable via JavaScript: Another approach is to add a script to temporarily disable the pop-up during your analysis sessions.
-
Change your form timing: This can be changed to be later in the user journey and not directly after page load for example if that is the current setting. This may improve your heat-mapping ability
These methods should prevent the pop-up from covering your site when analyzing heatmaps. For more detailed guidance, you can check out the resources on Klaviyo’s help center and community forum:
Hello, thank you very much for the great answer! That helped me a lot. Best regards! Michael
