I”ve just realised that my pop up form with a 20% discount for first orders, gives customers the code after they submit an email address, but BEFORE they have clicked on the ‘confirm subscripton’ email that they receive.
Which means, they are taking their discount, but never having to actually sign up up!
How do I fix this? Or is this normal?
This is based on the Shopify information for customers - whether they show ‘subscribed’ in Shopify or not. I can’t see in Klaviyo where it shows if they are subscribed or not, it just has a list of everyone...is that right? I’m getting super confused about this!
Thank you for your question in the Klaviyo Community!
This is completely optional - if you want to hide the coupon code in the popup you can do so through the Sign Up Form editor (by clicking on the Success step at the top). Basically you’re doing the opposite of this tutorial.
The reason some brands will show the coupon once the email is submitted is to avoid bounces from the website - if someone has to close the browser to go to email and find the coupon, you may lose them in the progress (People’s attention span can be very short ha ha).

Thanks for the reply. Okay, so bascially, it is a situation where they can choose not to confirm their subscription, and get the voucher first ?
When I did start to look at taking the voucher out of the popup, I realised, yeah, it was an extra step and likely to lose the sale! So I haven’t done it, but wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something else. It just means we are likely not to get as many sign ups initially?
