Hi all,

My double optin mail is delivered in spam folder of customers. Not the other mails from the flow. Anybody knows this problem ?

Hi @svenson1302 ,

Thank you for sharing the query with us!

When double opt-in emails are delivered to customers' spam folders, it can be due to several factors, including the email content, the sender's reputation, or the email service provider's filtering rules. Here are some steps you can take to address this issue:

Steps to Prevent Double Opt-In Emails from Going to Spam

  1. Check and Improve Email Content:

    • Subject Line: Make sure your subject line is clear and not misleading. Avoid using all caps, excessive punctuation, or spam-trigger words like "Free" or "Guaranteed".
    • Body Content: Ensure the content of your email is relevant and concise. Avoid using too many images, links, or promotional language. Use a balanced text-to-image ratio.
  2. Verify Email Authentication:

    • SPF, DKIM, and DMARC: Ensure your domain has properly configured SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. These email authentication protocols help improve your email deliverability and reduce the likelihood of emails being marked as spam.
  3. Whitelist Instructions:

    • Ask Subscribers to Whitelist Your Email: In the double opt-in email, include instructions for subscribers to whitelist your email address or add you to their contacts list. This can help future emails avoid the spam folder.
  4. Test Email Deliverability:

    • Use Testing Tools: Use email deliverability testing tools like Mail Tester, GlockApps, or Litmus to see how your emails perform across different email providers and identify potential issues.
    • Send Test Emails: Send test emails to different email accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) to see where they land and make adjustments as necessary.
  5. Review Klaviyo Settings:

    • Email Template: Ensure your double opt-in email template is clean and follows best practices for deliverability.
    • Sender Information: Make sure your sender name and email address are recognizable and trustworthy.

If the issue persists, contact Klaviyo support for assistance. They can help review your account and provide specific recommendations based on your setup.

Hope this helps!
