Hi!

I’m testing out a flow for our opening message with new SMS subscribers. What I’ve been attempting to do is to make an automated response for people who sends messages during out of office hours. 

I’ve been looking to do this within the flows and the account settings but can’t find a way. Has anyone got a solution?

Hey @sharmene! This isn’t possible because of strict regulations around quiet hours for SMS marketing. Some countries (such as the US and UK) limit the hours when you can send text messages after business hours. In order to keep you compliant, the default Klaviyo hours prevent mobile messages from sending between 8 p.m.–11 a.m. based on the recipient’s country code.

 

Even if you could, I wouldn’t recommend using your valuable SMS credits on auto-responses. We do have some suggestions for how to effectively offer support via SMS in this guide you might find useful.
