How to fix SMS Carrier Violation issue?

We were sending SMS campaigns occasionally with no issues, then randomly one day we started getting flagged for SMS carrier violations (specifically shaft). We reviewed SHAFT and don’t seem to to have violated any of those requirements. So were in a grey area of how and why this happened.  Also chatted with Klaviyo support but they just give the generic answers and resources which is unhelpful.There wasn’t really a difference in the campaigns to determine what could have caused why we were flagged in one and not the other. No website links, no spammy verbage, no shaft violations. We did however have consistent numbers of failed deliveries of 50+ contacts, and spam complaints around 90+. Guessing this maybe could be the reason. Were were sending to roughly a 2,500 contacts. 2,000ish failed and it has been that way since with the couple of campaigns we have tried. What is even more weird… we sent another campaign after our last campaign failed and it went through just fine with no violat

SMS Opt-In

Hi there,  I am collecting user information via ManyChat > Zapier > Klaviyo. Users are agreeing to terms and opting into SMS via the ManyChat funnel, but when their phone numbers are zapped to Klaviyo they are still considered “opted-out” and aren’t receiving the texts they were promised. Is there a way to automatically send a confirmation text to users after Klaviyo receives their number, so that they can formally opt-in to SMS and Klaviyo will recognize the opt-in?

Order Reminder SMS Automation

We are trying to automate an SMS reminder to all customers who have not placed their weekly order by the order cut off deadline. BackgroundNew menu released = Monday/TuesdayOrder deadline = Thursday 1.pm. Surplus item sales (one-off sale day) = Saturday What I am really trying to achieve is send an SMS to everyone that has consented, but has not placed an order in the Mon/Tues - Thursday window. Even when I back populate this, it only adds a handful of people.The biggest problem I see is that placing an order is required to enter the flow. So, theoretically, if week 1 we have 100 customers order, on week 2 only customers from this population who don’t place an order will get the SMS (where we are actually trying to send it to everyone who has consented and not ordered).  I figured back populating would solve this, but it does not. I’m at a loss for how to automate this. We’ve been doing it manually with campaigns/segments, but with Klaviyo segments updating only every 24 hours, some pe

SMS Link Not Working on Mobile, But Works In Template

I created an SMS message.The link within Klavyio works, but I receive an error when I click the link in the “test” text.The error says: kvy5.io sent an invalid response. ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR I have disconnected and reconnected my shopify app.The link to my site works correctly. As shared, the link in the “edit” screen for creating SMS work fine.I have updated the SMS settings, and am using an 855 toll-free number, My message is under 100 characters.The problem occurs during the test message.Any help is most appreciated.

Hello. I am new to Klaviyo.I recently created a full page form and embedded it as a page in Shopify. I’m using the page’s URL in a campaign to capture SMS consent. I tested the form with my cell and was prompted to send this text:“Send this text to subscribe to recurring automated personalized marketing alerts (e.g. special promotions, cart reminders) from Klaviyo Library (ref: JOIN)”My question: Is there a way to edit the ending to replace “klaviyo Library” with my brand name?

Passing Profile Data in SMS Links

We want to use a short link in an SMS to send users to an online survey form. In this form we want to collect the users email address along with other data but we want to pass the data collected back to the Klaviyo profile.Is it possible to pass Klaviyo profile data - like phone number - as a URL parameter in the short link sent in the SMS to be able to pass the collected data back to the Klaviyo profile?

Adding dynamic content to SMS messages is certainly possible using Klaviyo! Dynamic data in SMS messages is not so different from what you would be using in email messages. You can certainly use Template Tags and Variable Syntax as well as Catalog Lookup Tags!The only difference is that you have certain limitations with SMS messages:An SMS message only allows one image. In that sense, you can only add one dynamic data/variable within the SMS flow message. I would suggest displaying the first product image when showing a customer's purchased products. Related to the limitation above, you may want to limit the number of products you include as dynamic variables in the SMS message. I would suggest highlighting the first product that the customer purchased and also show it as an image . Always remember that for SMS messages, you want the message to be concise and straightforward as much as possible.Keep in mind that you can only include dynamic variables for event-based flows (e.g., when a

SMS Consent - Not mapping from Airtable to Klaviyo via Make.com

I have set up a scenario on Make.com to create a profile on Klaviyo when details are uploaded into Airtable. I have added two additional properties to the profile one being status and the second SMS Consent (consent and details will be gained from another platform - which is what is being added to airtable)  In test the profiles are coming through to Klaviyo but showing “never subscribed” for SMS (& email although less of a worry currently)  All the other fields are mapped across but SMS Consent doesn’t seem to (it’s showing as a property in the profile so is pulling through) - is there something I’m missing? (new to this so that is probable) Thanks!

SMS flow not triggering for existing customers

Hey guys, I’ve recently set up my first SMS flow and am offering customers 10% off when they provide their consent to SMS. I have a sign up form on site, which should trigger the SMS flow and send a text with a 10% off code. However, this is only working for new customers who are not currently in our Klaviyo database - if a customer already subscribes to emails and enters their phone number, the SMS flow will not trigger. I contacted Klaviyo support about this who told me it is expected behaviour as the profiles will merge, and the merge will prevent the flow from triggering. This is obviously causing a lot of CS contact and extra work for us, as well as causing bad feeling with our existing customers who are putting their phone numbers in and not receiving a text. Has anyone found a workaround to this or a different way to allow existing email subscribers to give email consent in return for a discount?  Thanks, Heather

Wondering if it is possible to Request a toll-free number from Klaviyo if I don’t have a business license. I am starting a website/brand and am operating out of my own personal address with personal cell. I figure this is likely the reason my verification is being rejected.

I’ve been using Klaviyo for a while now to manage my email and SMS marketing campaigns, and I’m exploring ways to personalize my messages even more. I recently came across the "what county am I in now" navigation tool, which provides users with their current county based on their location. New SMS subscribers don't show up in the list

Hey there!I have a problem with the SMS subscribe page:When a new lead fills out the subscribe form and clicks on “subscribe” they will not be saved in the list. In fact, they just get lost, I can’t find them anywhere. Where is the problem? I have everything set up with SMS consent, single opt-in, etc. Thanks for your help!

success page doesn't display if SMS opt in is skipped

So if a person adds their email the SMS option pops up. But if they say no thanks then the flyout just closes without going to the success step which tells them to check their emails.I can’t figure out how to make this work. Did i break something when I removed the SMS option then added it back?

SMS text not working.

Hello,I've been searching on the forum high and low for two days and I haven't been able to find an answer to my question. I've even emailed the support desk and am still awaiting a response. I just recently signed up for Klaviyo and have already set up Welcome and Abandoned cart email flows. I also created pop up forms for email as well as sms. The SMS pop up works fine; however, when I click the subscribe button (from my mobile device) to go through the joining process, it's not working properly. It takes me to my text messages with a pre-made join message ready for me to send. When I send it, nothing else happens, and I never receive any follow-up texts. I also am not seeing anything in my SMS list, so there's definitely a disconnect somewhere. I've followed the setup directions given, but still not working. I don't want to launch my new site until I get this working, so a quick resolution would be greatly appreciated.

Is there a way to add an image to an sms campaign through the api? I found a media_url field in the return data for the campaign-messages endpoint but when I try to set a value for that to update or create it doesn’t seem to work.
