Hi community,

Is it possible to send a shipping confirmation flow using SMS instead of email with the Shopify integration?

For example: Hi {{ person|lookup:"first_name'' }}!
Your TWL order {{ event.extra.order_number }} has been shipped. Track your delivery: {{ event.extra.fulfillments.0.tracking_url }}

Thanks,

Hi @tahliacollopy,

Thanks for sharing this with the Klaviyo community.

Yes, it is entirely possible to use dynamic variables for Klaviyo SMS. In fact, it is encouraged! This would be considered a transactional SMS message. For more information on inserting these variables into your SMS messaging, I recommend reviewing our article on how to find event variables. For personalization variables, I recommend checking out our article on template tags and variable syntax.

Lastly, keep in mind that you will not be able to iterate over dynamic event variables using SMS.

Great insights! Do we know if we can include carrier information in the SMS shipping confirmation?

Hey @LM0721,

Don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to!

Similar to what @Dov mentioned above, you’ll simply need to input the dynamic variable associated with that shipping carrier information into your SMS message.
