Hello,

If I update my DMARC record will I then be compliant? I have a branded from email: hello@brand.com for example so does this mean Klaviyo already has my authentication? Is there anything else I need to do?

Also, for the record: I have the error: Invalid "ruf" tag: " (the brand below is replaced by the actual name)

I am not sure what the ruf tag should be?

v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:reports@brand.com; ruf=mailto:an-email-address

Hi @LauraF123,

Adding a dmarc record to the DNS is indeed the first step.
As for the record you shared, the RUF should have a ; at the end.

Maybe a good thing to do is to either use Glockapps for this (that way you're not posting a public email online which can be spammed) or cloudflare also has an option that does this for you.

Last thing, make sure you stay within the 0,3% spam complaint rates Gmail will enforce from now on.

Good luck!

Thank you. For the Google delivery where / how can I check this? I’ve a Google account for my business for search will it be here somewhere? Or a different log in? Or on Klaviyo?

will the record need to be updated on Klaviyo or is it automatic?

would the record below be okay - this isn’t our email I’m using an example but plan to use our domain email.

v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:reports@brand.com; ruf=mailto:an-email-address;

or:

v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:reports@brand.com; ruf=mailto:reports@brand.com

Hi @LauraF123,

You need to make changes are applied in the DNS. Once this is added you can check if it's configured correctly on mxtoolbox (https://mxtoolbox.com/dmarc.aspx

The correct way would be to add a TXT record with:

“v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:reports@brand.com; ruf=mailto:an-email-address;”

To check your spam records please create a google postmaster account:
