Hi All,

I thought I had set up the ‘abandoned cart’ flow in Klaviyo...as per attachment, but in Shopify under my ‘orders’ section it has a list of ‘abandoned checkout’ customers who have not triggered this flow (image also attached)

I think perhaps I’m confusing the terms ‘abandoned flow’ and abandoned checkout’ between the two platforms? Have I not set up the right flow? Am I using the right trigger?

All suggestions welcome!

Your flow looks OK to me.

Some things to check:

  • Did you take the flow live after Thursday 6pm? If so, those checkout-started contacts won’t enter the flow. 
  • Do you have any profile filters on your flow that would prevent eligible checkouts from entering the flow?
  • Is the trigger metric a Shopify checkout started? Click on the trigger step to see if the checkout started metric icon shows the Shopify logo (it should). I’ve seen accounts where other apps/previous integrations create thier own checkout started metric.
  • Go to https://www.klaviyo.com/analytics/metrics and select the Shopify Checkout started metric. If the Shopify integration is set up correctly and captures checkout-started events, you’ll see those there. If not, it’s likely an issue with your Shopify/Klaviyo config.

If you haven’t already, you need to ensure abandoned checkout emails are disabled in Shopify; otherwise, profiles will receive two: one from Shopify and one from Klaviyo (when it’s working!)

1/ Yes, flow has been live for some time, longer than all of those checkout-started contacts.

2/No filters, so far as I know!

3/Yes...I’ve attached what it shows me…..and I think all looks good?

 4/ Yes, definitely have abandoned cart automation turned off ‘disconnected’ in Shopify. 

 

I’m at a bit of a loss!

When you click on the trigger preview button do you see the last 10 checkout events by profile with a mix of pass/fail?

Hi Andy,

I see the last 10 checkouts, but they are all ‘passes’ (they all purchased something). Here’s one for an example to show the set up….but the ones that Shopify is telling me were ‘abandoned cart’ are not showing up in the Klaviyo flow (mind you, one of those customers did go on to buy something, so I guess that’s why she didn’t trigger it to begin with, but the others are not purchasers.
