Automated Pre-Course Email Flow

Question

Is there a way to build Flows within Klayvio to be sent prior to a course starting? A business who uses Shopify offers in person courses, they’d like to be able to have an automated email sent to the participants 24 hours prior to the start of a course with the course reminder and include necessary info for the course such as where it is, times, what they should bring with them, etc.

They offer multiple courses, so having something that auto-populates with the relevant information would be key. Is this a capability within Klayvio? Or would we need to hire an external dev team to do things?

There’s definitely a few ways to do this, but this seems the most straight forward to me.
When someone books a course, I’m assuming a confirmation is sent through via Klaviyo to their email address, and that the date of the course they’ve booked is included in the data payload that comes through the Shopify API call. I would add a ‘Profile property update’ node to that flow that adds the date of their course to their profile (could be something like “XYZ Course Start Date”) as a custom property based on the information in the event trigger.

You can then set up a flow that sends out an email based on that date property, however many days pre/post is ideal for that business. A pre-course information pack, a mid way check in etc. and customise the wait node triggers accordingly for each course, in each flow.
