Safari Links Are Not Redirecting on Mobile

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

All the links on my email are not redirecting.  When I open my test email on my phone, the links do not redirect from the https://ctrk.klclick3.com/….  to the website pages.

I don’t recall having this issue before.  Is this an issue on my phone or in Klaviyo?

I need to get this resolved asap!  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello @Matthewod

This issue is likely related to link tracking in Klaviyo. Mobile-specific redirection problems may occur if the email client or browser on your phone is blocking the tracking URL. To resolve this:

1. Ensure the URLs in your email are correctly formatted and trackable in Klaviyo.

2. Test with another mobile device or browser to rule out client-specific issues.

3. Review your Klaviyo account's link tracking settings and disable them temporarily to check if this resolves the issue.

If this feels complicated or persists, feel free to reach out for tailor

Hi @Matthewod

Thank you for posting in the Community!

If the links in your Klaviyo emails are not redirecting properly and are stuck at the https://ctrk.klclick3.com/ tracking domain, here's a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Test Different Email Apps:

  • Open the email in different mobile email apps (e.g., Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook) to see if the issue is isolated to a specific app.

2. Check mobile browser settings:

  1. Default browser:

    • The email links may open in a mobile browser with restrictive settings. Ensure the default browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) allows redirections.
    • Update the browser to its latest version.
  2. Clear cache and cookies:

    • Clear the browser cache and cookies to eliminate potential redirect conflicts.
  3. Disable Ad/Tracking blockers:

    • If ad-blocking or privacy-focused apps are installed on the phone, they may block Klaviyo's tracking links. Temporarily disable these apps and test again.

Hope that helps! :-)

Hi @Matthewod

Did you get this fixed? I’d like to echo @Christiannoerbjerg’s advice and add some of my own.

It would be good to test this on different mobile devices, along with different mobile browsers to see if this issue is device or browser-specific. That’ll help you narrow down where the issue is occurring. Additionally, privacy-focused apps and ad blockers could play a role in these links not working. Try checking if you have them, and disabling if needed.

Finally, you might want to look into setting up dedicated click tracking. Dedicated click tracking allows you to show your own domain on click tracking links rather than the default Klaviyo domain. We have a great article here that explains how to do so. Oftentimes, setting up dedicated click tracking makes issues regarding non-working links in emails much less likely to occur. If you still experience problems with your links on mobile, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team for help.

Have a great day!

Hello @Matthewod   The fix would be to enable dedicated click tracking on your account.

You can follow these steps to setup dedicated click tracking:

Thank you everyone for your comments.  @MANSIR2094  and @Christiannoerbjerg Christian were correct.  I toggled the tracking and the links worked.

I also had to restart my iPhone.  It is possible I left my VPN on and that blocked redirecting links.

FYI, the links worked from Gmail to Safari.  But not my iPhone Mail to Safari.  But once I reset the tracking links as advised, everything worked perfect.

Thank you!

Matthew D.
