I would like to export all reviews and then import them again with one small change (verified buyer). Are the reviews going to duplicate or sync?

Hi @NikaS

More information on verified buyers - Klaviyo marks a review as verified when:

  • A customer submits a review by clicking a link in a Klaviyo Review request flow.
  • A user uploads a list of verified reviews from a past platform.
  • A customer submits a review manually (i.e., by clicking the Write a review button on a product page) using an email addresses attached to a previous order containing that product.

Verification occurs at the time a review is submitted. If 2 profiles are merged, one containing the review event, and the other containing a placed order event for the reviewed product, the review will not retroactively be marked as verified.

Our guide here provides a rundown on how this label is applied: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/19351146253211#h_01HCZQREFZF0SKWNF48KVTM0VY

With all of the context above, exporting and importing reviews will not work as you are expecting - during import, each record will be skipped as a duplicate instead of updating the existing review.

If all of your review were imported (and not collected),  a short term solution could be to "undo" the review import by going to options > import history > undo import and then redo the import. I hope this helps!

Thank you Chloe. I will try to undo the import and then redo it as they were imported from a different review provider.
