I noticed that when a client goes to review, if they click on any star rating, that is automatically logged as a rating (even if the user goes out of the page without submitting the review).

This is causing me to have duplicated or multiple ratings from the same purchase.
E.g. I can see the same person for the same item, same order, clicked on 4 & 5 stars. But never completed a review.

  1. Is there a way to deactivate this to ensure submitted ratings are intentional?

Then, I noticed the distinction between rating & reviews, makes my website seem less legit. Having a higher number of ratings than reviews when the user goes to view them in full, makes it seem like I am inflating the stars or hiding any bad ones.

  1. Is there a way to hide uncompleted / ratings with no reviews OR display the ratings in the reviews widget? They could display just the stars with the name, and no text. This would make it clear why the ratings are such a quantity.

Hi @paofran

Thank you for sharing this feedback. I have shared it with our product team and heard back with some insights:

  • In terms of the Submitted Rating events, there is no way to turn them off, but they should not be duplicating nonetheless (we have a constraint on events so that there's only one per order + customer) - in the current state it may appear to be duplicating, but this will change in the future
    • We are currently in the process of consolidating reviews and ratings terminology
    • We are making ratings visible on the moderation page and onsite widgets - this should hopefully clear up a lot of the confusion moving forward

Again, thank you for sharing this, we appreciate it and are working to improve upon the experience.

Hi @chloe.strange ,

I can see the reviews/ratings have been updated at in Klaviyo I can now see ratings as reviews with no text. However, here now I can clearly see that a customer gave a 4 star rating, and then a 5 star rating - for a single / same purchase. Thus, it was duplicated and indeed the constraint - at least at the time- is/was not working.
