Hi Klaviyo Community,

I ran into several issues with the Sign-Up Form editor (latest Google chrome browser):

  1. Popup overlay hanging: happens after Publish and for special alerts (got one with 0 alert...); seems to be a bug; not a blocker, refreshing the page fixes it
  2. Mobile Preview broken: It does not work at all from a sign-up form; works fine from a Consent page
  3. Adding Fonts with variants: once you added a font, you cannot add a variant unless you remove the font (“Add Font” remains frozen in content/brand section or through “Add font” flow in form); at least expand the variants when adding a font; making a default choice for the choice is not a good practice especially for key branding elements; since it is a flow you rarely enter, you want to optimize for accuracy rather than simplicity so having a longer screen is ok; obviously it goes away if you fix the “update flow”
  4. Idea to re-use step: it seems there is no way to re-use an existing step e.g “confirmation”; so you have to recreate everything from scratch; it’d be nice to be able to declare steps as re-usable and select them as default to start a new step

Hey @Fabrice, first of all, I saw that you recently joined and wanted to welcome you to the community!
These are great ideas, and I hope the folks at Klaviyo are taking note.  For some of those glitches you observed, I find myself refreshing the page (after I see that it’s been autosaved) to see if that flushes out any bugs or inconsistencies I see.  It’s my “slap it on the side” trick to fix most issues - doesn’t always work so you may also have to logout/login on occasion - frustrating, but happens rarely.  You can also check to see if status.klaviyo.com is reporting any issues - especially this time of year, there’s so many people in Klaviyo, I can imagine there might be some glitches.

As for #4, I agree - I hope they will build some kind of “save this step” into a universal content like they do with blocks/sections in Templates.  For what it’s worth, you can duplicate steps within the same Signup Form, so I imagine it wouldn’t be hard for them to implement it across Signup Forms.

One trick I do is to duplicate an entire Signup Form with some of the components I have already built - so sometimes it’s easier to edit an existing Signup Form then to start form scratch.  This doesn’t always work in all scenarios, but might be a shortcut for you to try from a workflow/productivity stand point.

Keep those questions and comments coming!  It’s great to see feedback from someone with fresh eyes from Klaviyo for some of us old timers that have been in Klaviyo for years!

Appreciate your comment Joseph! I’ve been doing Enterprise Sofware product management for 20 years so I kind of have an eye for features and fit-and-and-finish. I do hope the Klaviyo Product Managers are monitoring this Community. I would always tell my reports at Salesforce that if you don’t engage in the Community on your product features, you are not close to your customers -and I practiced what I preached :-)
