Hi All, Having previously worked for a MarTech business before setting up my Agency that had clients in Germany, Klaviyo are correct in what they are saying in terms of dedicated IPs helping, good list hygiene etc. However it would be really useful if at a ‘global’ level (rather than individual client level) if Klaviyo was to engage with the CSA Main Page - Certified Senders Alliance : Certified Senders Alliance (certified-senders.org)

What are you doing about recent changes to Consumer Data Privacy?

We’re focusing on more soft data capture, which means we’re asking questions, trying to build a better relationship from day one, rather than just looking at each subscriber as a number and blasting an email out. There’s a big opportunity here to play the data back to the customer with things like personalized recommendations rather than offering a discount to purchase. We’re capturing more customer information through Octane quizzes or Recharge subscriptions and bringing the data back into Klaviyo to better personalize our messaging to each person.

What's the difference between Subscribe to List and Accepts Marketing?

It’s also worth noting the following for future reference:  User A, subscribes via the Shopify Checkout and is added to the Newsletter List (via the standard process), their profile will be marked with the ‘Accepts Marketing = True’ custom property.If User A goes on to unsubcribe via a Klaviyo email, they will be removed from the Newsletter list but the ‘Accepts Marketing = True’ custom property will not be updated.  What we recommend for our all customers is that all data is added to a single list (regardless of source) and custom properties are used for segmentation. Then you build the segments whilst including this list. So for example if I wanted to find all customers who have purchased the blue shirt in the last 30 days and were contactable via email I would build the segment as follows: Is in ‘Newsletter’ Is not supressed Placed order where item = blue shirt in the last 30 days
