Thanks Stephen.

I am always happy to help, learn & collaborate. Our agency is at the Silver Master Partner level at the moment, we are mighty proud of that.

That is fantastic! The Klaviyo Community actually has community badges for our partners! I will look into getting that badge for you on the community so all of our members know that you are an incredible source for collaboration!

@darinadjustmedia
Hi Darin,

Thanks so much for being a part of our Klaviyo Community! It’s so great to learn a little more about you, and hear that you’re working on your SMS Cart Abandonment flow! Feel free to post questions like this directly into the “Questions” section under Campaign, Flows & SMS.

I took a look at the event variable and it does look correct. The event variable is:

{{ event.extra.line_items.0.product.handle }}

and the final tag should look like:

{{ organization.url }}products/{{ item.product.handle }}

One thing to note here is that if you’re using the organization.url tag, you must set your link protocol to <Other> instead of http or https. You may notice when using {{ organization.url }} to show a certain product that it leads to a broken link. This happens because Klaviyo populates your website URL in the template using the {{ organization.url }} tag, which pulls directly from the URL you have inserted in your account settings. Removing the forward slash (/) in your account settings can resolve this issue.
You can see more resources of SMS and event variables in this section of the Personalized Flow Emails with Dynamic Data article.

Thanks,
-Cassy

Hi Robbin @Violetbodyme

So great to meet you, and thanks for joining our growing Klaviyo Community – we’re so excited to have you here! We’re thrilled to learn more about Violet Botanical Skincare, and your journey in growing your business. Also, love that you’re in a running group with marathon members. Have you done a marathon yourself? Sometimes I think about if I could work up to it, but I can barely motivate myself to finish a 5k 😅 I’ll take it one day at a time!

We’re looking forward to hearing more about your ecommerce journey, and any strategies/learnings from your experience with Klaviyo.

Cheers,
-Cass.

Hi Cass,

Thank you for your welcome to the group.

No, I’ve never ran a marathon nor do I have the desire.🤣🤣 A 10K is my limit.

Take care,

Hi there!

I’m Mathieu, people also call me Matt. I’m bilingual (EN/FR)

I have a lot of passions! most revolve around physical exercise, nutrition/cooking, playing music, economy, inspiring people and solving problems.

After years of in-house and agency work, I’m launching myself into freelancing. I yearn to establish a secure way to work remotely; I love a change of scenery.

Email marketing is something I looooove to geek out on. My mission is to help brands in my niche connect with their audiences in a meaningful, humanistic way. No pushy sales, no cognitive dissonance, no thanks! My niche? I serve small-to-mid eCommerce organizations, worldwide, in EN and FR. The brands I like to work with are in the following:

  • Health & nutrition
  • Sports & outdoors
  • Travel & transportation

What I love most about my freelancing is the flexibility to work with people I can personally relate with and develop a deep trust. It’s not just a sale, it’s a genuine effort to build a stronger community 🤝

Hope to connect with you!

Hey @cassy.lee!

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Yes, I would love to recommend David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, which is on Netflix. It weaves together data, science, and the beauty of our planet with a sense of urgency that I found very informative and moving.

I would also recommend My Octopus Teacher, which isn’t about climate change, but an octopus. Haha. It is a movie that will make you fall in love with nature again, and make you realize just what climate change threatens.

Also, people should look into the work of Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat. Those two plant-based meat companies are probably doing more to fight climate change than almost any other organization on earth.

Happy to be here!

Hey everyone, who it’s Ilko!

Super excited to be part of this community! I love the Klaviyo spirit! Everyone is so friendly and ready to help. It feels like a big family! It gives our work here on the platform an even deeper meaning:)

Let me start by saying a few (I promise) words about me. My name is Iliyan, but friends call me Ilko. I am from a small town, called Gabrovo, in a small country, called Bulgaria (next to Greece). I am super passionate about travelling, nature, food, and learning more about how this world operates. And, of course, content creation! I love filming. I have a little YouTube channel that I will soon revive in English (I used to make videos in Bulgarian). I want to focus it more around business development now. I love sports like swimming, hiking, and folk dancing (yes, that is a thing in Bulgaria!). I love digging deeper and finding answers (aka reading a lot). I am a social animal and love to be around like minded people. I like talking but I love listening. I believe there is so much you can learn by listening to others.  I am ambitious and aim high - with the idea of striking even higher! Every day is a new possibility to achieve something great. To be great.

I have a small team and I run a little email marketing agency that will one day become a big deal. I specialise in ecom. The thing I love most about my job is that I get to meet ambitious entrepreneurs with a mission. Helping them fulfill the mission is truly remarkable. You know that you have created something that has helped someone succeed. Words cannot explain this feeling - when you know that your help is truly meaningful. It’s like having a child that has won a gold medal. You know you are directly responsible for their success, and that just makes you feel complete.

Another exciting part of my job is the ability to work with extremely talented young people. I learn from them, and they learn from me. I feel honoured by the amount of trust my team has in me. The combined energy of even a small number of people that are passionate their job is truly empowering! The opportunity to offer job positions to unique individuals with unmatched talent adds this next level of meaning to everything I do.

So yeah, I am excited about what I do.

Also, I’m 21.

Happy to connect with like minded people on LinkedIn! I am sure there is a lot of us out here!

Don’t hesitate to hit me up!

Hello all,

My name is Larry and I’m passionate about photography and coffee. This year I agreed to leave my job in TV post production to work for my wife’s business deborahwildebooks.com where I’m supposed to be the Man Friday and “Marketing Manager”.

So after building and launching the Shopify store in Jan 2023, i’m on the steep learning curve of Marketing and trying not to lose my footing.  I fear that I have just enough knowledge to get myself in trouble but not enough to now how exactly. Especially where services like Klaviyo and Shopify converge.

I love the fact that my wife and I can work from anywhere and are testing this theory with a working vacation to Italy soon. If I can help keep the company growing then this will be the “retirement” plan.

Now I have to learn where to find these answers…..

Larry

Great Larry best of luck and if you need any help i will gladly provide.

Hi Everyone,

I am Vic, working at an agency Unified as their email marketing consultant.  Prior to this I was a Marketing Director in the Beauty, Interior and Men’s Fashion industries. I also support startups to get onto Klaviyo, make the most out of the platform and troubleshoot any issues they may be having.

I have been working with the Klaviyo platform for over 4 years mainly on email but now incorporating sms too.

I love brand story telling and driving customer engagement.

In non-klaviyo news, I have 2 cats who always jump onto work calls, and a 6 year old.

Hi,
I'm Walter, 53 years old and I'm currently creating my emailing management company in France for ecommerce sites. I absolutely want to become a real expert in this field which I consider as one of the best ways to maintain an excellent relationship with customers. Besides the fact that it allows to develop sales, it is also, and by far, the most profitable.

Hi Denise @denise.b! Sorry for the delay in responding back but thanks SO much for your introduction! It’s so great to learn more about you and Ecom Department - a well-placed GIF tells a lot about a person, in my opinion!
I’m thrilled to hear that you’re learning to code and hope we have the opportunity to see all that you’ve learned as it applies to Klaviyo! Definitely don’t hesitate to share some of your learnings in our Marketing and Sales forum topic as you grow. We’d love to follow along the journey.

It’s so great to learn more about you, and I look forward to seeing your thoughtful feedback in the threads here. It sounds like you and the team at Ecom Department have a lot of experience to bring to the table!

Cheers,

Hi everyone

My name is Bhaskar and I have been lurking quite a lot: this is my first post.

I live in the crazy bustling city of Bombay (aka Mumbai) in India, and share my living space with three cats that go by Rory. Amy and Clara (give me a shoutout if you are a Whovian).

Rory loves to take up all the space on my table

I am passionate about a whole lot of things, like

  • traveling and hiking (looking forward to making up for 2020’s missed trips)
  • history, especially military history
  • understanding why people buy a particular product (or idea)

I love writing (you can see some of my email focused posts here), but I am even more partial to using memes to illustrate complex concepts while keeping it light and fun. :sunglasses:

My take on some ecommerce brands and their always on promotional emails that don’t establish connection and trust with the customer (Instagram)

I am a Klaviyo Silver partner and a one-man band at Pixels and Clicks and I work with small and mid-level DTC/eCommerce brands to:

  • Work out an email strategy that keeps in mind the brand story, the industry dynamics, and most importantly, consumer needs ( I use jobs-to-be-done framework for this)
  • Set up the important email flows that your store needs, write the copy and run A/B tests
  • Also work on different campaigns
  • Run regular reporting and analytics so that performance can be improved.

While I am a power Canva user and experienced in conversion centered design, I prefer to leave the design part of emails with people who are much better at that job than me.

When in doubt, embrace flows over campaigns. Automated flows are a money spinner (check out this post based on Klaviypo data)

I prefer working with clients for at least a few months as an integral part of their team so that I can understand their business, their customers and the market.

I am proficient at research, and there’s no topic that I can’t break down: I started my career as a B2B copywriter working to make high tech companies sound more business friendly on the internet.

I have also launched brands, designed sites and landing pages and can give you deep insights on how to optimize your landing pages, sign up forms or checkout for a higher conversion rate

I am looking forward to helping brands realize the crazy profit potential of email, so that they don’t have to depend on capricious social media or search algorithms for their revenue.

If there’s any way I can help you or if you just want to chat, please drop me a message ( I also hang out a lot on Twitter)

You are my people

And very interesting career switch! I’m sure there’s an interesting story there.

Hi Cassy, Hi Klaviyo’s Community!

Benjamin here from South Of France. I’m a Geek, Mountain lover, Sailor, Entrepreneur, Iconoclast, Passionate.

I followed my own path until I was 32, passionate about the mountains and climbing then the sea and travel, fascinated by aviation. I bought a sailboat at 23 and crossed the Atlantic alone, I made it my job, I have always found a use for my curiosity for computers in all the adventures that it has been to me given to live.

During the pandemic, I get back on new IT project with my old company and friend Cédric TASSAN founder of www.vtopo.fr, first with Mailchimp but when I discovered Klaviyo we was amazed by all the possibility who was offer to us ! And I create my own company, get quickly new customers and enjoy my new life as one of the rare Klaviyo Master Partner in France :-)

I love to see the face of my clients when they attempt their first GROWTH Review Meeting at week 6 of my onboarding process… between 20% and 30% of revenue attribution from what we do for us, so quickly, AMAZING!

Love you all!

Hi Darren @hannahs-puresupplements

Thanks so much for joining the Klaviyo Community, and for sharing more about you and your wife’s journey with Hannah’s Pure Supplements. We’ve heard a lot of stories over the past year about businesses pivoting from brick and mortar to online due to the pandemic, and I can’t imagine how that change has impacted the way you have to operate.

There are many folks in the Community that have experienced similar scenarios, and I’m sure that if you posted a Conversation thread (I’d recommend a Conversation instead of a Question, unless it is more Klaviyo specific) with some general questions/advice you might be looking for, other Community members can chime in with some suggestions.

Looking forward to hearing more from you about Hannah’s Pure Supplements in this forum, and hoping we can all share some guidance around running a business during such a difficult time.

Kind regards,
-Cass.
