Growth Success AMA - Sept 15th 2022

Today the Growth Team held an “Ask Us Anything” session to help answer some burning questions from Klaviyo users just like you. We included some pre-submitted questions as well as some that were asked by attendees. Growth Training: Deliverability and Email Strategy Session 1

Earlier today the Growth Success Team hosted a live training on Email Strategy and Deliverability to address some frequently asked questions and help create a better understanding of the email marketing landscape and what to consider when developing a marketing strategy. Access the recording here.Feel free to add any additional questions/feedback below or feel free to reach out to Growth@klaviyo.com. Clarifications and further answers regarding iOS 15 from QnA: Are Open Rates important anymore? Open rates will likely always be inflated so I recommend making sure they stay consistent around the same percentage and to look at Advanced Reporting in a Campaign to make sure all inbox providers are seeing those rates.  Apple Privacy Protection does not trigger if the email lands in spam so it is very obvious when an inbox provider is landing in spam.  I also recommend tracking Click Rate (not CTR) to make sure it is over 1% as Click Rate is not inflated by APP but can be impacted by segmenta

BFCM - Flow Customizations

Hello Community!With BFCM fast approaching I wanted to start a discussion around flow customizations for the weekend.There are a few obvious points, for example: Update the content within your flows to reflect the incentive or value prop you are providing for BFCM and make the templates appear more holiday themed/inspired.Outside of that though another great example would be to update an abandoned cart flow to reduce the time delays between each email. Our default time delays for an abandoned cart flow are 4 hours before the first email and 20 hours after that for the second. Given the urgency often experienced during BFCM it may be a good idea to condense these interactions and accelerate the communications with the customer. For example update the time delays to be 1 hour after the started checkout and 4-6 hours after the first email that the customer would receive a follow up. Of course keep an eye on the data that results from any change to ensure that we are not unnecessarily spik
