Conversion definition

Hi all!One quick question: how do I “explain” to Klaviyo what is a conversion for me?I found in this article https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005248128#h_01HHJM577BE91FBQD42R6Z0K92 that:Klaviyo defines conversion events that involve orders (e.g. Placed Order, Fulfilled Order, Ordered Product, etc.).I sell insurance policies, so there is no real “order” in my events. Should I simply rename my “Purchased” event to “Order completed” and Klaviyo takes care of it automatically?In alternative, is there a way to instruct Klaviyo what event constitutes a conversion?Thanks for any help!

Pass more than email and event from Zendesk to Klaviyo

Hi all!I just set up the Zendesk+Klaviyo integration and despite only SMS is mentioned, I’m positively surprised to see that profiles and events are synced, also for past events!The thing I'm mildly disappointed is that it seems (at least for my understanding) there is no way to get more than the email and the events to Klaviyo through the integration.A real-world use case would be for instance the collection of the email consent from the help centre request form: in this case I’d be able to engage prospect customers when their source is the Zendesk request form and not any other lead-generation campaign.Did any of you faced the same issue? Did you find any work-around?I was thinking of a webhook to enrich the data but I don’t want to put a “middleman” of any kind in between and a “blind” action from Zendesk I’m afraid would conflict in random situations.Thanks for any contribution!

Verify DNS records for a domain hosted in SiteGround

Hi all!Let me point out that I am tech-savvy but not a professional.I'm in the process of setting up the DNSs of my domain (hosted in SiteGround) in order to send emails with Klaviyo. I went to create the verification TXT record and all went fine.The issue is with the NS records: in SiteGround there isn’t the option to create them in the DNS editor. I then contacted SiteGround help centre that told me that NameServer records cannot be edited unless I’m moving my hosting somewhere else, nor it is possible to edit them on a subdomain level. They ended up referring me to Klaviyo for alternative solutions.After looking further into the documentation, I opted for the static routing because it doesn’t require NS records, and it is working fine.However, I’d be inclined to prefer the dynamic routing (mainly because suggested by Klaviyo itself).I even tried to create CNAME record with the NS parameters, but obviously to no avail.Is there anyone with an idea on how to work this round?Thanks in a

Create and update profile via API

Hi! Sorry in advance for my long question.Next February I’ll be transitioning to Klaviyo from another marketing automation tool.My company has a custom built platform that enables our customers to purchase and manage insurance policies while logged in.With the old tool I was able to create or update a contact with a single API, it is my understanding that Klaviyo doesn’t work this way, am I correct? The old tool basically has a single endpoint that creates a new contact if the email isn’t in the database, or updated the contact details with that email if it is.In this case, when a new user creates an account, would I need my platform to check if it is already in Klaviyo (maybe because it subscribed to the newsletter in the past) and then decide what call to perform (create or update)? I also understand that opting the profile in would require another separate call, is this true?Thanks for any help!
