Flow email triggers very slowly after simple segmentation

Hi community,on my website, I have some free tools visitors can download after an email signup through a Klaviyo form. The logic behind it is really simple:Klaviyo form submission sets property “source” to XY All “source = XY” contacts are added to the segment XY Being added to segment XY triggers the download email via flowHowever, it takes a long time until the contact gets added to the segment and even longer until the first email gets send. All in all, between 20 and 25 minutes. I understand the segment needs time to calculate etc. but this seems extremely slow for me, especially for an email customers are waiting for. In the flow itself, the email is the first action - there are now conditional splits before it.What do you think about that? Does this time seem normal to you, and what can I do to reduce it? I read somewhere to send the form contacts to a list instead of segment, as this would trigger emails quicker, but this would be contrary to the best practice to collect all sub

Customer segment best practice

Hi Experts,I would like to set up segments in Klaviyo that all contain the buyers of my different Shopify products (1 product per segment).In the segment creator, however, I found two ways to do that:Fulfilled Order with an item selected Ordered Product with a product selected Which of these is the best practice, and how can I make sure that only people end up in the segment that really bought the product? Refunds and cancelled orders should not stay in there (this was an issue I had with my last email tool).Thank you!Max

Double Opt-In and Signup Forms

Hi Klaviyo Team,In our setup we have multiple Klaviyo forms on our website that require submitters to check an opt-in checkbox that sets the consent property to “email”. After that, the double opt-in (DOI) email is triggered from our main list to those contacts. An additional custom property injects the form contacts into a segment, followed by a flow triggered by that segment.So far, I thought this is working properly.However, I just realized that flows operate completely independently of the DOI status. This means, for example, that flows trigger emails to contacts that have not confirmed their DOI. I assume this is because the checkbox of the form already sets the consent property to “email”. Nevertheless, in GDPR countries it is crucial that a flow waits until the contacts confirms the DOI before sending emails.Right now, I see two options:Create a flow filter so only contacts enter the flow that have the custom property AND are also in the main list (therefore DOI must be confirme

Best practice: Klaviyo and Shopify Double Opt

Hi community,I’m just finalizing the sync between Shopify and Klaviyo and am wondering what the best practice for the double opt in (DOI) process is with those two systems.I set the sync up in a way that all my Shopify contacts get transferred to my main list. In this main list I have DOI set up, so everyone who enters this list will receive a confirmation email.In my understanding, I think it will be sufficient to just turn off Shopify’s own DOI to avoid that Shopify contact receive two confirmation emails from both systems. However, in this forum I now often read that Shopify subscribes all contacts to marketing info if DOI is turned off - which would of course be bad.In general, you either get into my shop’s database by buying a product or creating an account. In both cases, there is a checkbox to sig up for the newsletter, which is currently triggering the Shopify DOI email.If I turn off Shopify DOI, will only the contacts that have checked this box get into Klaviyo and receive the
