Are dynamic table blocks only for email flows and not email campaigns?
I am planning on sending an email campaign to a segment whose definition is:
Checkout Started at least once between 0 and 360 days ago
Placed Order zero times over all time
Person is not suppressed for email
But I can’t seem to have it worked. My assumption is that dynamic table blocks are only used for email flows.
Can you enlighten me? Thanks!

Hi @Kowlin,
Thanks for sharing your question with us. Of course! Happy to shed some light here.
Your initial assessment is exactly correct. The rationale being, in a flow, we “pull” the event data i.e. item price, name (all of the “dynamic” data) from the event that triggers the flow i.e. Checkout Started. In other words, we rely on the event data contained in the trigger to populate all of the dynamic data in the flow emails, which cannot be replicated in a campaign in the same manner simply because there is no event that “triggers” a campaign. You can read more about event variables in flows here. There is also a call-out that speaks to this point in that article as well:
With that said, there are alternatives. You can use a product feed to populate items in a campaign. These products can be showcased in a variety of ways, you’ll find more on that here.
