Current abandon flows I have are:
- Abandoned browse
- Abandoned cart
- Abandoned checkout
In the case that someone finishes abandoned browse and does not add something to cart to then begin receiving that flow, I want to offer some information around the product category they were looking at, if they’re still weighing their options or unsure what to buy. I work for an appliance company, so this is a big purchase that needs a little hand holding to make sure customers get it right! It would include information like properly measuring your space, when is best to order new appliances, and other category specific (ie, fridge vs range vs laundry) tips to help them make their decision.
I’ve set up segments for our top product categories based on product type viewed, and then set up flows that tag those profiles with a “product interest” field when they enter that segment (this also helps to power product cards in welcome flows and campaigns to make sure that they’re receiving relevant products within the category they were searching).
My issues or questions to make this really foolproof are:
- How can I remove the tag if they look at another category to make sure they’re getting the most relevant products?
- What if someone needs to be looking at multiple categories (ie, both ranges and fridges) - how should I be handling these?
- How else would you consider setting this up to offer relevant product suggestions as well as tips, in both a flow like this, AND regular campaigns and other flows?
Thanks in advance!
