Complete the Look Feed

Hey @jtao23  Thanks for asking a great question about your product feed based on color. Unfortunately, variation info like color are usually nested within the product information and not stored in your Klaviyo catalog, so you won't be able to filter by colors, unless the item name is completely different per variation.  Sorry this wasn’t the answer you were looking for but hope this helps. Hey @stephen.trumble Thanks again for your input! Got it. That makes sense. Ya, been trying to figure out how best to show complementary products based on the product you purchased or are looking to buy.Another use case is being able to show product information in an Abandon Cart based on the product you’re viewing. So the product info in the email would be dynamic to the item in cart. Any advice on this use case?Thanks again! Appreciate the response and help.

Dynamic Content Based on Purchase

Hello @retention Thanks again for your help.Here are 2 diagrams to explain Bullet 1 above. Shows a table with multiple rows where the link is dynamic based on what the customer bought   This is more straight forward, but shows complementary products based on customer’s purchase   Any help is appreciated!ThanksJoe

Dynamic Content Based on Purchase

Hello @stephen.trumble and @retention I appreciate the follow-up! My apologies for the delay in reply.@retention I think that does make sense, but let me try it out. For the right column, I was hoping to have dynamic text and link based on what product was purchased. For example, if someone purchased PRODUCT A, then the text would relate to PRODUCT A and the link would go to a specific URL for PRODUCT A. Same with PRODUCT B and so on.  You bring up a good topic though around loops. I’d also be interested in dynamically created rows or loops based on dynamic data.I’ll try to respond with more details or a diagram of what we’re trying to achieve.Thank you both!

Shopify Abandon Cart

Shopify Abandon Cart

Hey @Akers Digital Thanks for the detailed response and the reference image! That does make sense.Ya, I noticed the Abandoned Cart in the marketing automations Shopify setup. To date though, I’m not getting any emails sent from Abandoned Cart, but I am through Abandoned Checkout, which follows what you mentioned.I believe Klaviyo’s Abandoned Cart only works if you’re subscribed (recognized profile) and active on the site.Appreciate the input! I’ll continue to use the Abandon flows through Klaviyo.ThanksJoe

Shopify Abandon Cart

Thanks Brian. I understand the Added to Cart trigger, but was curious when Shopify recognizes the trigger (at the time someone inputs email or when they hit continue to checkout). Minor detail, but that helps to determine if the user moved onto the payment phase.Bigger question is can you capture someone who simply inputs email, then drops AND if that makes a difference.Thanks!

Shopify Abandon Cart

Hey Kylie: Great to meet you! Thanks so much for taking the time to respond in detail. Very helpful and I agree on all points.I assume the way Shopify triggers an Abandon Cart is the same as Klaviyo? I’ve read some where it gets triggered when the email is inputted on the first checkout page where as Klaviyo the customer need to the Continue to Payment page. Is this the case?Appreciate your help!Joe

Thanks for the note @alex.hong and @Omar. Alex: Ya, I was reading through the documentation but wanted to double confirm that’s how it works. Thanks for sending the link along.Omar: Makes sense. We do want anyone who places an order after the flow started to exit the flow rather than stay in the flow.

Got it, thanks again @Bobi N. That makes sense! I assume with the Flow Filter in place and setting it to when the flow started, anyone who has not purchased in the past, but signed up for our newsletter still goes into the has purchased flow.Thanks!

Thank you so much @Bobi N. I appreciate the thorough response. Very helpful!In regards to paragraph 2, I would then need to place the Placed Order zero times since starting this flow conditional right before Email 1 in the have not purchased flow. Is this correct?
