API create event call do not change Subscription details

Hi! You want to use the Subscribe Profiles call: https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/reference/subscribe_profilesYour API call will create an event “Subscribed to email marketing” but you’ll notice it has the gear icon on the profile, meaning it came from the API, vs the black Klaviyo icon for the “native” “Subscribed to email marketing” event.

How to trigger emails to profiles that are removed and readed to a list via klaviyo API?

If you send a custom event to the profile with the Create Event call and have a flow triggered off that event, the flow will trigger every time the profile gets the event (i.e. it doesn’t have the one-time limit that segment and list triggered flows do).

https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/docs/changelog_#revision-2024-02-15-ga Breaking changes Get Event(s) APIWe have removed the $attribution field from event_properties starting with this revision. To include this data in your request, add ?include=attributions to your request URL.

Hey Saulblum,    Thanks for your reply.    Correct, I can set the unique_id myself, I guess i was wondering how the value was created, was it based on a timestamp + useragent? If you don’t explicitly set the event’s unique ID, it’s just a UNIX time stamp.

Image array in Event Data

You could create a custom Viewed Product script snippet and send in an array in the JSON body, and then, say, iterate through that array in an email template, or access only certain indices of it.

https://developers.klaviyo.com/en/reference/create_eventYou can explictly set the event’s unique ID when creating an event; else, it’ll default to a timestamp.unique_idstringA unique identifier for an event. If the unique_id is repeated for the sameprofile and metric, only the first processed event will be recorded. If this is notpresent, this will use the time to the second. Using the default, this limits only oneevent per profile per second.Unique ID is also used in events like Canceled Order, to match the event back to the original order, for CLV calculations.

How to send email to specific user?

You’d have to create a temporary list with the API and add the profile to that list, and send the campaign to that list of one profile. There’s no direct way to send an email to just one profile.

Can you make a test template where you render {% if person %} ? That should give you a dictionary of all the properties, and show whether MakeOrderCount is being stored as a string or number.If it’s a string, you could try coercing it to a number with one of the float filters, e.g. floataddhttps://developers.klaviyo.com/en/docs/glossary_of_variable_filters#floatadd{% if person|lookup:'MakeOrderCount'|floatadd:0 > 199 %}

API - How to get a list of profiles (Email addresses) that were removed from a list

If you go to the metrics page you can filter by Klaviyo metrics, and you’ll see Unsubscribed from List.Click the metric name and the URL will have the metric ID, e.g. https://www.klaviyo.com/metric/ABC123/unsubscribed-from-list?function=&dimension=&value=This ID would be the metric_id value in the filter for the Get Events call.
