This certainly is an odd behavior. After speaking with some colleagues it appears this unexpected behavior is related to a bug that our Product Team is aware of and is actively working towards resolving.
I’ll share and provide any updates in this post from our Product Team when we have any news regarding this link activity behavior.

Just wanted to reach back out as I’ve recently heard news that this bug has been resolved and the odd behavior should be fixed!
