hi,

 

 

 

We use a cart drop flow, “Abandoned Cart Reminder”.

 

We are sending an email 3 hours after a customer adds an item to the cart.

Is there any way to check the cart contents before sending the email and determine if the item is still in the cart?

 

Is it possible to check the cart in the setting shown in the picture below?

Hey @masa 

Thanks for asking the community for help with your Abandoned Cart flow. 

The “Abandoned Cart” event metric is only recorded once the customer leaves your site. This would mean that the cart still has at least one item in their cart when they exit the page. If they return and remove the item from their cart, the profile will still move through the flow as there is no event data sent to Klaviyo when an item is removed. So unfortunately there is no way to check to see if the item has been removed or not before sending the emails. You could potentially work with a developer to build a custom event that will record when an item is removed, but this is not currently a pre-built option.
