Hi everyone,

I want to inform our customers if we received a bank transfer payment.

That means an order is placed with payment method bank transfer → money arrives at our bank account → we set the order from unpaid to paid in Shopify → email should be sent automatically.

Now, I am searching which trigger this could be in Klaviyo to inform customers automatically that we received the money and that we updated the order.

Many thanks for your ideas.

Hello @creeki_bln,

Thanks for sharing your question with the Klaviyo Community.

While Klaviyo syncs across payment information in the Placed Order event, this information is not top-level data. This precludes Klaviyo from segmenting or filtering a flow off of this information.

One workaround would be to use the API or the Shopify Flow functionality to create a custom metric that pulls in this payment status as top-level data. You could then trigger a flow off of this event for customers that have this custom event synced to their profile. In order to accomplish that, you or your developer would need to send us a custom event using our Server Side Track API endpoint. Here’s our API reference docs with an example call: https://apidocs.klaviyo.com/reference/track-identify#track.

Thanks and have a wonderful rest of your day.
