When we send out newsletter using Klaviyo, we frequently get a “social engineering content detected” message from Google. The “bad” URL looks like it’s a click tracking url. I don’t see anything malicious with the links they are calling out.

How can I prevent Google from thinking links in our campaign emails are malicious?

Hi @Ugly Baby,

Thanks for sharing this question with us.

According to this google support thread, this error can come out of having old DNS records. In addition to that potential solution, you may be well advised to investigate google’s support threads to get a better idea of why they’re sending out this message.

Once this is sorted, we have a brand new blog article on email deliverability you may also find helpful.
