Hello @Gretchen C,

Great question!

At this time Klaviyo does not have the capability of a “scratch to reveal” function.

If you were looking for this feature within signup forms, I would recommend finding one that suits your needs that also have an integration with Klaviyo if possible. If the developers of those third-party signup forms do not have a connection with Klaviyo, you can still use them so long as you have set up a redirect for these forms to be adding subscribers to a Klaviyo list as described in the How to Redirect Existing Signup Forms to Klaviyo article.

In the event you were looking to implement a “scratch to reveal” feature within emails, this may be accomplished through AMP emails. AMP emails allows you to create interactive components in your email messages. This sort of emails allows you to create a more personalized and interactive experience for your customers. The prerequisits for AMP sending eligibility are:

  • You have your own dedicated sending domain and have authenticated your emails using SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Head to Google’s security requirements for more information.
  • You are sending at a high volume, in the ballpark of around 100 emails a day or greater for the last few weeks.
  • You have a good sender reputation and a low spam complaint rate from your recipients.
  • You are tech-savvy or have your own dev team to help you build out your AMP emails. We do not offer this service.
  • If you have a dedicated click tracking domain, you must set up SSL for the domain before your AMP application can be approved. (Note that Klaviyo's shared tracking domains include SSL automatically, so if you do not have a dedicated click tracking domain, no action is required.)

Since AMP emails are custom, we would also recommend working with a developer or finding a Klaviyo partner who can assist you in setting up and building these AMP emails. You can learn more about how to use AMP emails from the How to Send AMP Emails in Klaviyo article Klaviyo offers.

Thanks for being a member of the Klaviyo Community!
