Whether you’re looking for the replay of today’s session or to catch up with some of our additional resources, you’ve come to the right place! You’ll find everything you need below.

Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger are powerful tools to promote your brand and gain new leads. But with advertising becoming increasingly expensive, reaching the right audience is more crucial than ever! Using your trusted Klaviyo segment data as the basis for custom and lookalike audiences, we show you how to gain more ownership over the customer journey when advertising on these channels.

In this session, we cover:

  • Enabling the Facebook integration in your Klaviyo account

  • Building a segment to be used as a custom audience

  • Building a segment to be used as a lookalike audience

  • Syncing these segments to Facebook Ads Manager

You can find the replay of this session below:

Segment definitions:

In the first build phase, we create a “30 day engaged, never purchased” segment. You can find the segment definitions below:

  • What someone has done > placed order > 0 times > over all time, AND

  • What someone has done > opened email > at least 1 > in the last 30 days OR

  • What someone has done > clicked email > at least 1 in the last 30 days OR

  • What someone has done > clicked SMS > at least 1 > in the last 30 days

In the second build phase, we create a “VIP lookalike audience” segment. The segment definitions for your VIP segment will vary. You can see more information about creating a VIP segment linked here. In the example used during this session, the segment definitions were as follows:

  • What someone has done > placed order > at least 3 > in the last 90 days, OR

  • What someone has done > revenue is greater than > $225 > in the last 365 days

Note: When planning your custom audience sync, be sure to choose a list or segment with over 100 profiles; Facebook requires a minimum of 100 profiles to create a custom audience.
