Suppressed Profile

Hello Community,

An email profile was manually marked to be suppressed from a specific list, however they are not unsubscribed globally. Because of that one suppression, does Klaviyo automatically exclude that profile from ALL email campaigns/ globally?

Hi Trisha, great question! I didn’t know the answer so I tried this scenario in my own account. 


Added an email to two lists.  Created a segment that included that email (doesn’t reference list).  Manually suppressed that email from one of the lists. Created a campaign with that segment...


The result: I still got the email! It seems when the difference in list-based suppression is when you do list-based sends (ie. Profile is in ___ list).
