Recently, many email sign ups we’ve received, primarily through our google ads, have been suppressed and marked as “Email Bounced”. Even an email address from a friend of mine who is an email subscriber now is marked as “email bounced”. I understand that an email can bounced because it can be a fake or bad email address, but it’s a bit too big of a coincidence that many people signed up for our discount pop up form on our website (and came through a google ad) and were quickly marked as suppressed (email bounced reason) upon the first email sent to them, which is the discount code they signed up for.

Any thoughts or suggestions here on why this is happening?

Hi @cbzhu

Sorry to hear you are having this issue.

There are a number of reasons for sent emails bouncing beyond just invalid email addresses. More info here: https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005250408

I would start by looking at your deliverability hub metrics to see if you can identify a recurring cause for these bounces https://www.klaviyo.com/analytics/deliverability/email/bounce-details also focus on whether your sending domain has any reputation issues which would cause receiving email providers to reject your emails (which might also affect your subscribed friend)

For a specific flow, you can see deliverability stats by selecting an email in a flow for it’s details and then “view details” » “recipient activity” and select “bounced”. This lists all the bounce reasons for each profile and whether they’re hard or soft bounces.

Hope that helps and that you identify your issue.

Andy
