How can I be utilizing Klaviyo better?

Hey all! We’ve been using klaviyo for a couple years and I know we are only using it at a very small level. I’d love to know if there is anyone who does a Klaviyo deep dive or even like a demo video to see all the things, new and old, that Klaviyo can do so I can start incorporating more of it into our business. We currently utilize some flows, campaigns regularly and reviews but I’m sure there are lots of awesome options that I’m missing. Any ideas are appreciated!

@Jess Cross O I highly recommend checking out the Klaviyo Youtube or literally just searching “Klaviyo” in the Youtube search and you will find so many great creators with videos that might help unlock some new inspiration! I am a visual learner so Youtube is my bff. I also recommend checking out ​@Jessica eCommerce Badassery ‘s podcast and page because she does a great job explaining new features (what is free and worth or not worth paying more for, depending on your needs). 

Is there anything specific you are looking to do or to help improve? There are so many features and tools so it might be easier to work back from problem to potential solution to try out and explore.

Thank you so much! This is awesome! Nothing really specific - we have a digital marketing background so I know all the things we “should” be doing ha ha there is just a lot of things that I’m sure klaviyo does or could do for me and I don’t even know about. I feel like we’re under utilizing it for sure. I will absolutely check out these resources! Thank you!!

Totally agree with a lot of the replies here — they’re already pointing you in the right direction.

One thing I’d strongly recommend (if you haven’t already) is going through Klaviyo’s Objectives inside the platform. They’re surprisingly solid and give you a clear roadmap for flows, segmentation, campaigns, and reporting based on where your business is at.

 

On newer features:

  • Reviews has gotten much better and is worth using if you want tighter feedback → post purchase loops

  • Customer Hub is also interesting, especially for brands that want the personalised email feel to be mirrored on the shopping experience

 

Outside of features, one thing that often limits growth (even when flows + campaigns are “set up”) is deliverability. We’ve seen accounts doing everything “right” strategically but still leaving money on the table because emails just aren’t landing where they should. Lately we’ve been pairing Klaviyo with a lightweight deliverability tool on their app store like Mail Ward to filter profiles in real time it is not flashy, but it helps keep performance stable as volume scales.

 

If you’re looking for deep dives, there are some solid agency walkthroughs on YouTube, but honestly the biggest wins usually come from:

  1. tightening segmentation

  2. improving flow logic

  3. protecting deliverability as you send more
