Hi Klaviyo Community,

I’m looking to run a holdout test specifically for our Abandon Cart flow to better understand the incremental impact of that series. I see that the Global Holdout Testing feature allows you to apply a certain percentage holdout and then exclude any number of flows from the holdout.

My question is:
If I want the holdout to apply only to the Abandon Cart flow, would the correct approach be to create a global holdout test and exclude every single flow except the Abandon Cart flow—essentially making Abandon Cart the only flow subject to holdout testing?

Or is there a better or more precise method to isolate holdout testing for just one flow?

Would love to hear how others have approached this—thanks in advance!

Hello @Jacob850 , welcome to the community...…

You are really asking a smart question, testing like this shows you are serious about improving results with data, which is great to see!

Yeah your idea is correct. To test only the abandon cart flow, you can create a global holdout test, then exclude all other flows except abandon cart one. This way, only people in the holdout group for that flow will be held back from receiving those emails, while other flows continue as usual this setup will let you compare two groups: those who got the abandon cart emails and those who didn't..... To see if the emails are really making a difference.
