The emails are being recorded at profiles and also the stats is showing for my pop up, but I am not getting the Opt in confirmation email so none of my emails are being added to my newsletter list.

What am I missing? I have also checked in spam/promotional and no email of opt in was found.

As you can see in the photos I have selected double opt-in, also the list to submit to is newsletter.

Please help.
 

 

Hi there! It looks like you’ve set up double opt-in, but the confirmation email isn’t being sent so Here are a few things to check and troubleshoot:

 

1. Confirm the Opt-In Email is Enabled

• Go to Lists & Segments > Select the Newsletter List.

• Click on “Settings” and check if the Double Opt-In Confirmation Email is enabled.

• If not, enable it or switch to Single Opt-In as a test to see if new subscribers are added automatically. This can help ensure it is a double-opt in email issue and not another issue. 

 

2. Check the Confirmation Email Template

• Click on the confirmation email link in the opt-in settings (seen in your screenshot).

• Ensure the email has content and is properly set up.

• If it’s blank or inactive, Klaviyo won’t send it.

 

3. Verify Sending Domain Authentication (SPF/DKIM)

• If you’re using a custom sending domain, ensure SPF/DKIM records are properly set up.

• If they aren’t verified, some ISPs may block the email.

• You can check this under Settings > Email Sending.

 

4. Test with a Different Email Address

• Try signing up using a different email provider (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) to see if the issue is specific to certain domains.

• Some email providers may filter confirmation emails aggressively.

 

5. Check for Suppressed or Bounced Emails

• In Klaviyo, go to Profiles and check if your test email is marked as Suppressed.

• If it is, Klaviyo won’t send the confirmation email.

 

6. Ensure There Are No Third-Party Blocks

• If you’re using a Shopify or other integration, verify that the form is correctly linked to Klaviyo.

• Also, check any third-party tools that may block the email from being sent.

 

Next Steps

• If none of these resolve the issue, try disabling and re-enabling the Double Opt-In for that list and test again.

I changed the list settings to single opt in and it still does not populate my list after someone has submitted my newsletter popup on shopify and as you can see in the images the popup is selected to submit to “Newsletter”. But the client profiles are created.

Just want to show that it showed someone have subscribed to “Newsletter”

Checking in, were you able to resolve this? It sounds like you adjusted your list to single opt in and identified a profile that did subscribe to your Newsletter?
