Our campaign emails are going straight to spam, we have checked our email authentication and domain reputation and cannot seem to figure out the cause. How can I get this resolved? I need this corrected please.

Thanks for posting in the community! We definitely want to make sure that your emails are landing in recipients’ main inboxes, and not spam, so I’m happy to offer some suggestions. Firstly, since you already made sure your emails were authenticated and checked your domain reputation, you’re on the right track. I’m assuming that you have an active branded sending domain, correct?

Ultimately, an inbox provider decides whether an email gets filtered into spam or not. While Klaviyo sends your emails, inbox providers like Gmail or Yahoo filter them based on your sender reputation, which depends on engagement history (opens, clicks, spam complaints, etc.) In order to avoid emails going to spam, you’ll want to focus on sending emails to engaged subscribers, which will ultimately boost your sender reputation. Additionally, you’ll want to make sure you’re not sending emails to people who haven’t engaged with your content recently. To do this, we recommend suppressing inactive profiles, which our guide details here.

The ultimate goal is to ensure you’re consistently sending emails to people who are interacting with your emails, and avoiding sending emails to those who aren’t. Doing so will gradually improve your sender reputation, and make it much, much less likely that you end up in the spam folder moving forward. Note that making these changes aren’t an instant fix, and you will have to continuously focus on sending to engaged profiles over the course of several sends to guarantee a significant change, but over time, your sender reputation will improve, and you’ll be avoiding the spam folder much more often.
