Klaviyo just announced a new feature today: Klaviyo Remix, a AI-powered image editor integrated directly into the Klaviyo platform, bringing visual storytelling ideas to life in seconds. 

What is Remix?

Remix, powered by Google Gemini’s latest image editing API, is now embedded within the Klaviyo email editor—eliminating the need for external tools or design bottlenecks.

With Remix, marketers can:

  • Instantly edit any image in an email template by selecting it, clicking "Remix", and typing a simple prompt. 

  • Generate multiple variations and seamlessly drop the chosen version directly into your email.

Remix use cases for product photos

  1. Update products or objects in a scene — Swap out items like a prop (e.g., coffee cup) with something more campaign-relevant—refreshing visuals without the expense of reshoots.

  2. Change colors or backgrounds — Instantly align assets with your brand palette or seasonal themes (e.g., “…bag in your signature green shade” or converting black backgrounds to white). Klaviyo

  3. Transport products to new environments — Move your product from a studio setting to beach, park, or city scenes—all with zero extra photography.

  4. Refresh campaigns with different “stars” — Swap models or characters to refresh creative, mitigate fatigue, and showcase variety.

How to get started today

  1. Open your email template in Klaviyo.

  2. Select an image—product shot, lifestyle, banner—and click "Remix".

  3. Type your desired change—“change background to beach,” “make model smile,” “add product from catalog”—and browse generated options.

  4. Choose your favorite and drop it directly into your design.
