Klaviyo / Shopify Hydrogen

Hi there @steez_brand,    Great question!    We have created a new document in our developer portal that will walk you through all the ins-and-outs of our Hydrogen<>Klaviyo connection that I’d recommend you checking out! Hydrogen is seen more of a "Custom" integration so you’ll need to manually re install codes for Active on Site, Viewed Product and Added to Cart metrics in order for them to trigger, but that should be all!    Hope this helps!  -Taylor    Awesome, thank you!!!

SMS Consent on checkout Trigger SMS Welcome Series?

Hi @steez_brand,    Another great question! For Shopify, the sync happens after a user has completed their purchase at checkout. A user can add their number after ticking the box at checkout, but if they abandon checkout and do not complete their order, their information will not sync into Klaviyo.    Hope that clears things up!    -Taylor  Thanks Taylor, does this mean that if I have “has sent zero purchase since starting this flow” set as a flow filter, it won’t sent any messages to people who checked out and subscribed? Or do I need to set another filter like hasn’t made any purchases within the last hour or something.

SMS Consent on checkout Trigger SMS Welcome Series?

I’ve turned on SMS consent at checkout now that it’s become available and I’m wondering if this will now trigger my SMS Welcome Series that is triggered off ‘when someone give SMS consent’. I’m assuming it will which isn’t great because that will mean the person gets a discount code directly after they’ve just made a purchase which is kind of a bad experience in my opinion. Any recs on how to make this not happen? Thanks Taylor. I do currently have our SMS flow filtered to only people who have not purchased since entering the flow.. but for Shopify checkout SMS integration? When does the sync happen? If someone accepts SMS marketing on checkout does the flow get triggered right at that moment or not until after they complete their purchase?

Shopify Discount Code link and Abandon cart

Hi @EverBloom  This is a very cool feature that helps customers a lot. You can find instructions on how to create a link that automatically applies coupon code in our tutorial here. That should help you understand the basics of how it works and how to apply it in Klaviyo emails. Now for the abandoned cart email, is a little trickier because the checkout URL is being reconstructed at the site and if you want to auto apply coupon code, you can’t use the {{ event.extra.checkout_url}} in your button. In this case, you need to use this link format: https://www.mysite.com/STOREFRONT_ID/checkouts/{{ event.extra.token }}?discount={% coupon_code 'NAME_OF_YOUR_COUPON' %} In your case it will be: https://www.everbloombaby.com/7900037209/checkouts/{{ event.extra.token }}?discount=12345 %} You can read more about this specific case in Klaviyo’s documentation here. Hope this helps!   Is this still the way to do it? Every time I try and preview it, it doesn’t work and I’m seeing a COOKIES BLOCKED=1

Reusing Expiring Dynamic Welcome Coupon in Abandoned Cart Flow

Hello @steez_brand, Adding to @Mailbox Manny’s comment, so long as the coupon code generated has not expired, using it in multiple emails would still render the same code. This would also apply if you added the code to multiple different flows.  Only until the coupon code as expired would using the same discount syntax render a new discount code for customers that received this new email.  I hope this helps! Gotcha! Thanks for testing it out. Maybe I’m crazy but I could have sworn it was popping up for me any time i was visiting from Instagram. Hopefully that is not the case tho!

Hey Manny, thanks for the reply. By child browser I mean the browser window that pops up when you launch something from within IG, ie. Our site link within our bio. Our site is steezbrand.com and our handle is @steezbrand on IG.  it seems like every time you launch a site from IG it doesn’t have the same cookies saved as your regular browser and so it doesn’t know if you have a klaviyo profile or not. That’s my guess anyways 🤷🏻‍♂️

Also wondering if it’s possible to trigger welcome flow based on where they signed up.. @CLAIRESANKEY1 I believe for ‘accepts marketing’ it’s not until a purchase is actually made that they get subscribed that way. FWIW I ended up setting my flow filter on my Welcome Flow to hasn’t purchased within the last hour just to protect for the case where someone purchases first time without checking accepts marketing but later decided to sign up to the mailing list to purchase again with the discount code.. @retention do you see any issues with that? Thanks for the help!

@CLAIRESANKEY1 - Hi Claire, welcome to the community! There’s a few ways to do this, but I’ll give you the simplest approach: First, I’ll assume your “Welcome Series Flow” is a “List Triggered” Flow from your “all newsletter” List. Then, In your “Welcome Series Flow” - set a “Flow Filter” to exclude any who have “Placed Order” like this:  Click on the Trigger Box, Then “Flow Filter” (on the sidebar) to add the filter rules.This will ensure that anyone that makes a purchase, will not enter the Welcome Series even though they are added to your “all newsletter” List.    You can click on the “Preview Trigger Setup” to double check your Flow Filter rules.  This one should be pretty simple, but it’s good to be able to verify your Filter rules by going through a few “live” samples to see what would happen.  You should see something like this: For customers who made a purchase, simply create a “Post Purchase” Flow based on the Metric Trigger “Placed Order” (or “Fulfilled”) and that Flow will
