How do you recommend handling retail and wholesale customers under one Klayvio account?
Hi
Are your retail and wholesale customers buying from the same domain, or two different store domains? If they’re purchasing from the same domain, it’ll be much easier to manage them in one Klaviyo account, given that most of our major integrations (Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, ect) support a 1 to 1 sync between one Klaviyo account and 1 store.
To further answer your question, I’d need a bit more info. Are retail and wholesale customers usually buying different products? If so, I’d recommend adding a “wholesale” category to each wholesale product, so you can create segments of people who have purchased a wholesale product. From there, you can differentiate your wholesale subscribers from your non-wholesale subscribers by creating a segment of people who are subscribed to email marketing, and placed an order at least once over all time where categories contains wholesale. You can then send your wholesale campaigns to that segment.
I’d love to offer some more advice, but to do so, I’d need to know a bit more about how your site is set up, and the user experience for wholesale customers vs the experience for retail customers. Would you mind providing that information? Looking forward to your response!
