I’m new to klaviyo and I need to send a one time event invitation to a list of emails that aren’t subscribed to marketing, because they are not customers, they’re business associates. Since they’re not subscribed, and we’ve never sent emails to them through klaviyo, I’m concerned that the email will land in their spam folder. Does anyone have any concrete tips or strategies to avoid this?

Hi! Great question. Since the contacts aren’t subscribed or used to getting emails from you through Klaviyo, there’s a chance it could go to spam.

To help avoid that:

1. Use a clear, friendly subject line (no spammy words).

2. Keep the content simple and personal—mention who you are and why you're emailing.

3. Avoid too many links or images.

4. Use a verified domain to send from (not just a Gmail or Yahoo address).

5. Ask them to add you to their contacts if possible.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you need help setting it up.
